Living Things Contest!

Send USOUNDS your top 5 album picks for 2005, and you will automatically be entered in our sensational Living Things contest.

Two winners will be drawn at random, and each prize pack includes:
1 copy of Ahead of the Lions
1 “Bom Bom Bomb” 7″
1 stunning Snoozer Loser t-shirt

Fun Holiday Tip: Purchase multiple copies of “Ahead of the Lions” and give to your dad, janitor, and produce guy as gifts. Because obviously the ass-shredding, rock’n’roll sounds of Living Things are universally appreciated.

Supergrass Tour

Holy Shit, Even More White Stripes News

Since November seems to be official White Stripes news month, you may find it interesting to know that The Stripes will appear on the Daily Show December 1st, and on Late Night with Conan O’Brien December 2nd.

Also, the fist of the live “Denial Twist” downloads are now available online. Three Quid and Meg have been freestylin’ different versions of the song at each show altering electric guitar, acoustic guitar, marimba, piano, and the didgeridoo. (Which is really weird, but somehow works with this song.)

Arcade Fire/Bowie Collaboration Available

The Bowie and AF versions of “Wake Up” and “Five Years” will be available for download on iTunes for one week starting on Monday November 14th. Proceeds will benefit Hurricane Katrina victims.

USOUNDS would like to encourage fans to celebrate Arcade Fire/Bowie week by sporting your favorite helmet and having your friend(s) beat you over the head repeatedly with a drumstick, a yardstick, or maybe even a medium-sized tree branch.
