VHS or Beta may sound like Robert Smith plus Daft Punk plus the Electropunk group of the moment, but what they’ve got that the legions of other new bands in their genre lack is the ability to consistently make cynical indie hipsters in LA and NYC dance, if recent shows are any evidence. The Louisville-based group blew New York’s The Fever off the stage at their show at Spaceland last year. They’ll be back in LA with Electric 6 at the El Rey on April 21st.
