Album number four - 'People Get Ready' on Estrus was the debut, I think. And then three thoughts. One is that for a time this band played hot post-MC5 garage rock and roll. Another is that 'Have Mercy' features none of that - it would be hard to communicate how truly godawful and misguided this album is. 'Alive & Amplified' sounds like 'Funhouse' compared to this twang soul pop fakery. Thought three - V2 restructured and so maybe 'Have Mercy' will sink without a trace. It should. This is groaningly awful lazy rock stuff that would have been counted as too laidback and dumb even in 1973.
