Brightblack Morning Light mp3

This ain’t no Blair Witch Project

Everybody Daylight is the kind of 6 minute, downtempo, chill-out track that would do well accompanied by a few hairy green nugglets. (Also good without the nuggs.) According to Matador, their self-titled album was written by two homeless friends from Alabama while living in tents in northern California. Most of the album was completed without a permanent shelter of any kind.

New G. Love mp3’s

The new G. Love album, Lemonade, was released this Tuesday on Brushfire. This is G. Love’s 7th album, and who knew one man could be so serious about lemonade:

“The whole thing about lemonade for me was when I first set out from Philly to make it in the music world I went up to Boston, and I would just sit on the front porch of my place after playing the streets or practicing and make myself a big pitcher of lemonade. It just symbolized old time porch loungin’ for that’s where I did a lot of my shedding and writing. It was so simple and great, I said, if I ever get a record deal I’m going to get Lemonade tattooed on my arm.”

Teddybears MP3’s

Stockholm band, Teddybears will release their US debut “Soft Machine” on September 12th on Big Beat Records. These guys were not always such an innocuous-sounding group; in the 90’s, most of the members started as a grindcore group called Skull. The new and non-grindcore Teddybear album instead melds garage punk beats, electro, dancehall, and krautrock with a variety of guest vocalists. Also, they are BFF with Neneh Cherry. Check out Cobrastyle with vocals by Mad Cobra and Punkrocker featuring vocals by Iggy Pop. Arctopohiles beware.
