The men behind Minnesota trio, Tapes ‘n Tapes, can typically be found in a shed battling mild to severe hypothermia. However, these guys will occasionally unthaw their stiff, pale, lifeless bodies and try to control their erratic and shallow breathing long enough to lay down some kick ass tracks. New Band of the Week – The Cops!
The Cops have recently released a new album called, Get Good or Stay Bad on Mt. Fuji Records. This Super Troop is composed of ex members of Kinsky, Hello From Waveland, and some dude who used to run around on stage at Raft of Dead Monkeys shows in only his underwear and a monkey mask. Combined, these guys rock harder than some sedimentary formations.

Was reposing in an all-white suit in a grove of desiccated orange trees outside Santiago, Chile, when the DJ (sorry, neglected to mention that I was at a wedding) retraced 10 years of my life in a single song from Belle and Sebastian. I was flooded with the types of memories that made me want to savor them and expunge them by dancing all night. I did both.
