Louis XIV is blowing up the indie radio charts on the West Coast, and are ready to break through all over the country. From what we can tell, these guys are going to bring hot groupies back to the rock scene in a big way in 2005, something every backstage music journalist with a full head of hair will benefit from (everyone knows groupies hate bald guys if they’re not in the band or at least tour manager) at least tangentially. So 80% of our office is pleased as punch with the Stones/Faces/T. Rex sound/humor/attitude that Louis XIV is bringing.
The first single from their upcoming EP is called “Finding out True Love is Blind”, it mixes a kind of 70’s rock swagger with some uniquely Louis XIV suff that will stick in your head for days. You definitely want to download it for the weekend.
