There is no easy way to say this… Jon Spencer is fucking hot! Not only is he hot, but so is his music, and Heavy Trash is a shining example of his repertoire. I managed to catch this show when it blew through town, and I am glad I did, because Jon Spencer is HOT!

Check out the new Black Keys steam for You’re The One. The guys slow it down a lot in this song making the track fantastic background music for a slo-mo flock of flying wild geese.

Of the three nouns that make up the title of the new Thermals record “The body, the blood, the machine” it is the machine that is truly represented. Sure, the body, and the blood exist, (to sometimes slightly visceral effect) but only as a reaction to the machine itself. Humanity although present, is undeniably dwarfed by, and forever linked to this machine. Whether that machine is war, god, or a fascist state, it’s all just the same wolf in different clothing.

Toronto’s Hidden Cameras just released a new orch-pop LP called, Awoo that was recorded at the Gas Station on Toronto Island. Here’s an mp3 from the album called, Death of a Tune.
The Video for Awoo has a scary, dark, woodsy, Blair Witch setting to it. Except for when the fireworks, sparklers and overall gayness kick in during the chorus. Close to a perfect video indeed.
