What a year it’s been: USOUNDS has resumed publishing, I broke several personal records and only one bone, and the beer at the USOUNDS offices has been flowing like wine…
2002 will go down in history as the second time USOUNDS resumed publishing– the first time, of course, was in 1998 when the magazine went online after a 17 year hiatus. The magazine has retained most of its excellent crop of writers from the 1998-2001 publishing schedule, including reader favorites Terrence, American Buddhist and Phillippe Coullette, IV. We’ve also added some great new writers such as Antonio Soto-Iglesias and Samar Soiree. 2003 looks promising, not least because rumor has it Ric Befara, legendary journalist and human being, will finally write again. Next year will also see new exclusive downloads, internacional scene reports, swinging sexy photography, and some surprises that will knock the socks right off your ass (as Ric would say).
2002 was another profitable year for the USOUNDS parent company, and our coffers are full of cash, gold, precious gems, and securities. Unlike other internet publications, we do not accept traditional advertisements, instead getting our money from kick-backs, bribes, and offshore accounting practices that make Enron look like a non-profit daycare center. This business model should ensure USOUNDS’ financial security for some time to come.
So in sum, 2002 was a grand year and 2003 looks to be even better. We really do want to hear from our readers, so please drop a note in the box below and let us know what you like, what you don’t like, what/who you want to see more of, etc. etc. Merry Christmas, Eid Mubarak, Happy Kwanza, Super Solstice, and an internacional new year from all your friends at USOUNDS.
