The new Lips album, At War With the Mystics was just released on Tuesday. “The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song” music video features burgers in their natural environment. (Which obviously means they are being duct taped to some dude’s face and body.)

Here’s a nice little video from our friends over at Videobong. It’s got the funkiest 70’s bass and bongos you are likely to hear for weeks if not months.
So I was feeling kinda down, just kinda shut out from the scene, waking up in my ‘am disoriented and not really caring how or why. Driving aimlessly around town, sucking on the built-in bong, t-topped air swishing my mane this way and that and just not knowing what to do with myself. That kind of mood. I cruised by the beach in Santa Monica and popped in a tape of an mp3 of the first song from the new album by The Stills. I got a rush from the opener but things kinda slid downhill from there and I didn’t feel any better. That’s when I remembered the emergency flask of Canadian Mist in the glovebox. At least something from Canadia got me feeling a little better that day. Anyway, you may have more luck then me, there is a lot to like in this song but it didn’t blow the socks off my ass.

Future Appletree Records will be releasing 2 EP’s from Chicago band Tenki this year. The first one should be out by mid May, and the second will be recorded and realeased early fall. Tenki was nice enough to send us some demos. For this, we love them long time:
Australian band The Vines met in high school while working at McDonald’s in the late 90’s. The McRib was still around back then, so a sweet time was had by all. The new Vines album, Vision Valley is set for release on April 4th, on Capitol Records. Toss some shrimp on the barbie, and listen to this sampler via their website:
Danger Mouse + Cee-Lo = Gnarles Barkley. This highly anticipated collaboration will release St Elsewhere on Downtown records May 9th. According to Gnarles Barkley’s MySpace comments, their music is already getting dudes laid. With song titles like Go Go Gadget Gospel, this seems very plausible. (Not to mention great timing with spring fever and all.)

Dungen’s song “Festival” is so great that even if the music video featured only pig lips and assholes, I would still totally rock out to it. However, there is now a good lips and ass free video. Novamatic.com has a cool and interesting video, art and fashion website, and they have recently uploaded the new Dungen Video for Festival. This video is a magical acid flashback inducing journey with flying chickens wafting around in a non-creepy carnyesque environment.
