The Dears on Tour

One of the greatest live bands in this solar system are gonna be back on the road very soon. (Actually, there’s always some cool shit going down on PSR 0329+54 Beta Pictoris which is actually in a different solar system. When there are clouds of gas occultating around from the debris left over from planetary formation, that always makes for an aesthetically kick-ass show.) Check out a full Dears concert from last year in Amsterdam here.

More tour dates on the way soon:
June 25 – London – Wireless Festival
June 26 – London – ICA

Dr Octagon Decipher Series Part 2

Chapter 2: AL GREAZY

When we last left off, Mike Relm started the Decipher Series by breakin’ down the history of the infamous Dr Octagon. But still unclear on what this new material was intended to mean, OCD has gone to their list of interpreters to get to the root of it.

Meanwhile on the Left Coast…

A hot, gray Los Angeles afternoon finds Gray Kid chillin’ on Venice Beach. Mac on his lap, posting to his blog, the Kid is interrupted by a pop-up window. It’s OCD on the I.M.

Charlatans Simpatico Out Today/US Tour

The Charlatans ninth studio album is said to be almost as tight as homeland security. (On Fox’s 24, not in real life. With the exception of last night’s episode when Graham knows that Jack has that recording on the plane he semi-hijacked and orders Logan to shoot the plane down. Also, Logan is kind of a douche.) Stream four new songs on The Charlatans MySpace page.

Tickets for North American tour dates are on sale now:
May 16 – New York – Webster Hall
May 17 – Washington DC – 9:30 Club
May 18 – Boston – Avalon

Favorite Thing
Baseball Altamont
Meet The Mets
Oh Bondage, Up Yours!
Ding Dang / Interplanetary Music
